GORDON FOOD SERVICE HONORS BOYD COFFEE COMPANY WITH PRESTIGOUS VIP CORNERSTONE AWARD

Boyd Coffee Company prides itself on robust, dedicated and proactive business partnerships with our customers. When Gordon Food Service recently presented the company with their highly sought after VIP Cornerstone Award for outstanding vendor performance, it was “truly an honor”, according to Tom Hose, Boyd Coffee Company’s V.P., Sales & Marketing.

Presented annually prior to the start of their Fall Trade Show in Grand Rapids, Mich., in early October, Gordon Food Service gives the VIP Cornerstone Award to only four vendors per each of their four product categories, making it a highly coveted honor.

“This award is a result of many departments in our company working very synergistically” in regards to Gordon Food Service, one of North America’s largest foodservice distributors, and one of Boyd Coffee Company’s largest customers. “GFS presented this award to us based on our performance in areas of customer service, superb products and a partnership focused on their sales growth. What makes this more gratifying is this is the approach we take on behalf of all our customers,” Tom emphasized.

Specifically, the VIP Cornerstone Award recognizes vendors the following key performance indicators:

  • On time deliveries
  • Purchase order accuracies
  • Product quality and consistency
  • Customer Service
  • Brand growth
  • Sales growth
